形態特徵

• Shrubs with prostrate long shoots and axillary, ascending leafy shoots; prostrate stems woody, rooting at nodes; young stems densely covered with brown hairs and some stalked glandular hairs; prickles usually few and small.
• Leaves simple, coriaceous, rounded in outline, 2–6 cm across, the base cordate, basal incision up to 1 cm deep, shallowly 3- to 5-lobed, the lobes rounded, the margins unevenly crenate, palmately 5-nerved at base, the veins impressed above, raised and prominent beneath, upper surface dark brown, sparsely hairy when young, soon glabrous, lower surface light brown, densely tomentose; petioles 1–3.5 cm long, villose-tomentose, unarmed or with some prickles; stipules elliptic to obovate, 5–10 mm long, incised shallowly to halfway from the top, shortly hairy outside, glabrous inside.
• Flowers solitary or few in racemes, axillary or terminal on the branches; pedicels 5–10 mm long, densely hairy; bracts up to 10 mm long, apically incised; calyx-lobes triangular-ovate with acute to acuminate apex, 6–12 mm long the margins always with few teeth, both surfaces covered with short woolly hairs; petals obovate, 6–8 mm long, clawed, white, glabrous; stamens and pistils glabrous.
• Collective fruits globular, 1 cm across, the exocarp yellow to orange.

分布

• 台灣 : Taiwan, in open places from 1,600 to 3,800 m altitudes.
• 世界 : Philippines (Luzon and Negros).
